Events
ISEL holds regular events which are aimed at both those with a general interest in European law issues and those with a specialist focus. Each year ISEL provides an extensive programme of lectures and seminars on a diverse range of EU law issues. This includes the annual Brian Walsh Memorial Lecture which is delivered by a leading figure in legal practice, academia or the judiciary and is dedicated to the memory and legacy of ISEL’s Founding President the Hon. Mr. Justice Brian Walsh.
In light of the particular importance of EU competition law and procurement law, ISEL has developed a Competition Law Forum and Procurement Law Forum which are especially relevant to those with a specialized interest in those areas.
In addition to the lectures, seminars and sessions of the specialised forums, ISEL frequently holds more substantial conferences. Of particular importance is the bi-annual conference held with our sister organisation the United Kingdom Association for European Law (UKAEL) which alternates between Ireland and the UK.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points for solicitors and barristers are available for all ISEL events and CPD certificates are provided.
Recent events are set out below. Where provided by speakers, material from these events is available for ISEL members to download.
